Bread for the...

Bread for the World - Offering of Letters

  • Date: Saturday, February 16, 2019
  • Time: 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM
  • Description: As we enjoy the blessing of pizza or donuts on February 16/17, we invite you to take a few moments to write a short letter and provide hope and opportunity for people living with hunger. You can help persuade Congress to invest in programs that work to overcome and address the causes of hunger and poverty. Handwritten letters are still the most effective way to make your voice heard in Washington, D.C. And your letter will be amplified by the tens of thousands of letters written by others as part of Bread for the World’s Offering of Letters. Once written and gathered, letters will be blessed at Masses on February 24th, then mailed by SJV’s Social Justice Committee.
